About Our Council

  1. Parish Round Table – We have a standing offer to our Pastor to assist when and where he sees fit.  In our first year, we have helped with the parking at the Parish Picnic; members helped with the renovations on the new rectory; served in the kitchen for the “Breakfast with St. Nick”; provide help in the weekly set-up and tear down of chairs in the worship site.

  1. Bishop’s Project – A project of the Knights in the Pittsburgh Diocese for Fifty one years to support the St. Anthony Schools Program and the McGuire Memorial Home, raising over five million dollars.  St. Kilian Council is participating in the project for the first time in 2009-2010 and have exceeded our goal as established by the Project.

  1. Charity Fund - We have just instituted a “Charity Fund” to help other people in need.  The fund has been started with an allotment from the council and will accept donations from individuals. Recipients are recommended by members and friends.  Recipients will remain anonymous.

  1. Family Activities – Our families share in many activities – picnics, Christmas parties, Eucharistic Celebrations, Living Rosaries, Dinner Dances, Memorial Celebrations, Family of the Month and Family of the year acknowledgements.

  1. Fraternal Benefits – Our Order provides an excellent Fraternal Benefits program.  Rated in the top five in the country in providing life insurance, annuities, long term health care and other benefits.
